We continue to find ways that assist families financially who choose to send their children to our school to receive a Catholic education.
Over the past twelve months, the school has introduced several different opportunities to school families that support the financial cost of attending SSP.
The Tuition Raffle, held at the beginning of each year, supplemented the cost of the tuition payment for one student and was held in conjunction with the Friends of SSP.
The acknowledgment of volunteers through the Lend a Hand initiative, also through the FSSP, provides a 25% reduction in tuition fees each term for one family who has volunteered in some role in the school during the previous school term. All that is required for this is to record your name under 'volunteer' in the administration when you attend school in that capacity.
The school recommendation payment provides a $200 reduction off the school fee account for those who recommend a new family to the school and complete a successful enrolment process. So far in 2024, we have had several families have this $200 amount applied to the fee account.
In 2024, we, together with Prendiville CC, introduced the family sibling discount between the two schools, where families whose children attend both schools receive the sibling discount regardless of the location of the students between the two schools. We have had 46 families who applied for and received the discount on their SSP school fees so far this year which is a great opportunity for those families to be supported by the two schools.
To our mothers and grandmothers, we wish you a wonderful Mother's Day this weekend. We hope the kids spoil you and that you have a wonderful day.
Warm regards
Peter Cutrona

This isn’t even considering the children who have set up their own social media accounts, without their parents knowing. And we know that there are a lot of these in existence. (In fact, some articles have suggested that as many as three-quarters of children aged 10-12 years have social media accounts, despite being below the legal age limit.)
