The day was very enjoyable and this year the spectators were treated to some very fine basketball skills from the boys and the girls. Both the boys team and the girls team were undefeated over the course of the day, which was an outstanding effort!
The competitors were lucky to have Mr Lamont, and a number of parent helpers on the day, who made the experience memorable with all their hard work and cheering, so thank you to all of them for giving up their time. Both teams should also be congratulated on their behaviour and sportsmanship on the day.
Please be reminded that students return to school in Term 4 in their Summer uniform.
Please note that with only two and a half weeks left of this Term, there is not a lot of time to sort out any new items you require for next term.
Please also note lost property is starting to mount up again in Student Services. All uniform items that are not collected by the end of Term 3 will be taken to the Uniform Shop for sorting. If your child has lost any uniform items, please ensure they check at Student Services.

Staff have begun the complex process of placing students in classes for 2019. Our Year Level Teams will meet frequently over the next few weeks, often in their own time, to complete this task. Parents with any concerns here would have already raised this with their class teacher and this, along with the many factors taken into consideration, combine to construct our class lists. Usually there are minimal changes and overall approval achieved each year with the process.
Class lists are published on SEQTA Engage on Friday 30 November and next year’s classes will meet for the first time on Transition Morning, to be held on Monday 3 December 2018 at 11.15am, for an hour.
If you are not returning to SSP in 2019, please inform Helen Florschutz on Helen.florschutz@cewa.edu.au or phone 9301 6888.
If any parents are considering withdrawing their child from the school as a result of experiencing some financial difficulty regarding schools fees, please contact the Principal immediately, who will discuss some options with you so as to allow your enrolment to continue at SSP. A consistent and long term approach to the primary years, where possible, is very important for the success of your child’s learning.
