I am writing to you to inform you of staffing changes for the remainder of the term.
Mrs Erin Roseingrave will take over the duties in 4W at the end of May, whilst Mrs Renae Lloyd undertakes a shoulder reconstruction and the long recovery after the surgery.
Mrs Catherine Lyons will take over as the full time class teacher in 5M from Tuesday 18 May, as Mr Pettit utilises paternity leave and long service leave for the remainder of Term 2.
I have also been advised that Mr Stephen Cannell has accepted a position at Red Hill School in the Broome Diocese from the commencement of Term 3. We will commence the process to find his replacement over the next few weeks.
Mrs Toni Carrigan will be undertaking a leave of absence to return to study for the next twelve months. This leave will commence at the beginning of Term 3.
I will communicate to you regarding the replacement staff once the appointment processes have been undertaken.
SSP is also currently undertaking the process to appoint a new social worker and we remain confident that our replacement will be in place for the beginning of Term 3. Whilst this process is being completed, I urge parents to make contact with their child’s teacher if they have any concerns regarding the wellbeing of their child. Where a need arises, the school has access to a number of services for external and specialist support until the replacement social worker is in place.

It is the responsibility of the driver to park in an appropriate area. Please note that the areas directly outside the administration building on Prendiville Avenue are listed as 'no parking' areas during drop off and pick up times.
We understand that parking is at a premium around the three schools in this location and request that patience and following the directions provided by the street signage is followed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our school community and all those who travel through our school precinct.

The Vatican has announced the beatification ceremony for Fr Francis Jordan will be on May 15, 2021 in Rome. Beatification is the step before Sainthood. Below is the miracle that is attributed to Fr Francis Jordan.
The miracle: A young couple who were expecting a baby in 2014 in Jundial, Brazil, were informed by several medical doctors and specialists that their unborn child was suffering an incurable bone disease (skeletal dysplasia). Being members of a group of Lay Salvatorians, the parents began to pray through the intercession of the Venerable Servant of God Francis Jordan, and they invited other members of the Salvatorian Family to join them in prayer.
The child was born completely healthy on September 8, 2014, the Feast of the Birth of the Blessed Mother, and the anniversary of Fr. Jordan's death.
The parish of St Simon Peter are celebrating the Beatification of Fr Francis Jordan at 10.00am Mass this Sunday and all are welcome.
