Principal Message

This weekend, many of our Year 6 students received the Sacrament of Confirmation—a significant milestone in their faith journey. In preparation, they spent time with Fr Leonard, who also presided over both Masses on Saturday. It was a truly special occasion for our students and the wider school community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms Manifold and our dedicated Year 6 teachers for the thoughtful and reverent way our students were prepared to receive this important sacrament of initiation.

Last Monday, our Year Six students took part in the Interschool Lightning Carnival. This event involves friendly competition across a range of winter sports, providing a fantastic opportunity for students to work together as a team throughout the day. We are incredibly thankful to the staff, Prendiville students, and parent coaches who generously gave their time and energy to support our students and help make the day such a positive experience.

Congratulations to all our Year 3–6 students who participated in the SSP Cross Country. The students demonstrated fantastic stamina, determination, and a spirit of respect, integrity, and positivity. A big thank you to Mr Pettit and all the staff who helped make the event such a success. Special congratulations to McKillop House for their outstanding achievement in winning the competition!

Student reports will be available on SEQTA at the end of the term. These reports provide a summary of your child’s progress against the achievement standards for the content covered in Semester One. They are a valuable tool for discussing your child’s achievements, effort, responsibility, and attitude towards learning. Reports can help you celebrate successes and identify areas to focus on in Semester Two.

Warm regards
