Book Week is Coming!
We’re excited to celebrate Book Week in Week 4 – Monday 11 to Friday 15 August. This year’s theme is ‘Book An Adventure’, highlighting the incredible journeys we take through stories. Reading helps us escape to new worlds, expands our vocabulary, and fuels our imagination.
The Book Fair will run all week in the Hub from 11 to 15 August. On Monday and Tuesday, students will visit the Hub for a short preview session where they can browse the books and create a wish list. Please note: no sales will take place during these preview times.
Book sales and ordering times are as follows:
-
Tuesday 12 August: 3:00–4:00pm
-
Wednesday 13 August: 8:00–8:30am & 3:00–4:00pm
-
Thursday 14 August: 8:00–8:30am
Students will also be able to purchase books during Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes.
The Book Week Dress-Up Parade will be held at 8:50am on Wednesday 13 August. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character, think Disney, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland… the choices are endless! Costumes can be simple and inexpensive, let your child’s imagination lead the way.
To finish our celebration, students will attend a special incursion on Monday 18 August called “Treasure Hunt” performed by Perform. It promises to be a fun and engaging experience for all.
Volunteers Needed!
The Book Fair is a busy time, and we’d love some extra help in the Hub during our sale times:
